KriArc is local-first. This page explains how the app and website approach privacy — starting with a simple rule: your Arc is personal, and it stays with you.
Local-first by design
KriArc stores your activities, life areas, tasks, and Arc views on your device. The core experience does not upload your day to the cloud. Awareness should not require shipping your private rhythm to a server.
No cloud account required
You can log activities and understand your Arc without creating a cloud account. Your phone is the source of truth for your history.
What that means for you
Your history works offline. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local history on that device. Treat your device carefully — your Arc lives there. Use the in-app backup export if you want a portable copy.
Permissions the app may request
Photos and Camera — only if you choose a profile avatar; images stay on your device. Notifications — only if you enable task reminders or quiet life-area nudges in Settings; you can turn them off anytime. We do not use these permissions to build an advertising profile.
Backups you export
When you export a backup, KriArc creates a file you control (for example via the system share sheet). That file contains your local history. Keep it private; anyone with the file can import it into the app.
This website
The marketing site at kriarc.app may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser, and pages requested) needed to operate and secure the site. That is separate from anything you log inside the KriArc app. We do not sell personal information.
Waitlist emails
If you join the waitlist by emailing us, we use that address only to tell you when KriArc is available. If you use an on-site form (when enabled), your email is submitted through our form provider solely for that waitlist purpose. You can ask us to remove your address anytime by emailing hello@kriarc.app.
If you write to hello@kriarc.app, we use that correspondence only to respond and improve the product. We do not add you to marketing lists without consent.
Future optional features
Some future capabilities — for example optional AI that explains stats you’ve already earned — may need a network connection if you choose to use them. Those will be clear and optional before they ship, and will never be designed to invent data about your life.
Children
KriArc is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
